Therapy for Food Allergy Anxiety - for Adults & Allergy Parents

As an allergy parent myself - my older daughter’s allergies are dairy, eggs, peanuts, pistachios and cashews - and an accredited psychotherapist specialising in helping adults and allergy parents, I get it.

If you’re looking for a therapist who understands the constant checking, the monitoring, the scanning every label in the grocery aisle, the late night baking so that your child can buy something at the school bake sale, the fact that you can’t leave the house with just your keys - always remembering the antihistamine, 2 epi-pens (AAIs), anti-bac wipes and back-up safe snacks - then you’re in the right place and I'm so glad you found your way here.

I work with allergy parents and adults online across the UK and internationally, and in-person in Hitchin, Hertfordshire and Biggleswade, Bedfordshire.

Helping you thrive in a free-from life

When I looked around in the early days of breastfeeding, severe eczema and a niggling feeling something was wrong — I couldn't find a therapist who specialised in helping parents navigate the overwhelm, anxiety and stress of living with food allergies. So I chose to become one.

I decided to do further training in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) because for food allergy anxiety, a flexible, values-based approach often fits best - one that works with the reality of living with risk, not against it.

Why I Specialise in Food Allergy Anxiety

For many allergy parents and adults living with food allergies, the emotional weight can feel relentless:

  • Constant anxiety about something bad happening

  • Stress about social situations, eating out and cross contamination

  • Worry about your child being excluded or having an allergic reaction

  • Guilt that somehow it might be your fault

  • Overwhelm about the uncertainty and unpredictability of life with allergies
