CBT & EMDR Therapy
— for Women & Mums
A gentle space to hold you while you’re healing.
As a therapist specialising in maternal mental health, I'm here to support you wherever you are on your journey. Whether you're experiencing anxiety during pregnancy, processing birth trauma, dealing with postnatal depression, struggling with mum guilt, mum rage, or adjusting to your new identity as a mum — I'm here. I support women experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and trauma outside of motherhood, because your struggles matter at every stage of life.
I've spent many years specialising in maternal mental health — supporting women through the perinatal period and beyond, in the NHS as a Perinatal Lead and in my private practice partnering with organisations such as The Motherhood Group as their Resident Psychotherapist.
I offer specialist support for food allergy anxiety — for adults and parents of children living with food allergies.
I work with women online across the UK and internationally, and offer in-person sessions in Hitchin, Hertfordshire and Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. As a mum I understand that childcare isn't always possible — so you're welcome to attend alone or bring your baby along to our session.
Why I Specialize In Women & Mums
Women's experiences are unique and so are the pressures we carry. From the expectations placed on us as daughters, partners and mothers, to the invisible mental load of holding everything together — women often put themselves last, and it comes at a cost.
As a woman, a mum and a Trinidadian woman of Chinese, Indian and African heritage, I understand that representation in the therapy room matters. And honestly, that's why I created a space where you don't have to explain yourself, justify your feelings or shrink to fit — whether you're navigating motherhood, identity, cultural expectations or simply trying to find yourself again.
I work with all women, embracing our diverse experiences and backgrounds. I'm particularly passionate about supporting Black, Asian and Caribbean women, because I know how rare it is to find a therapist who truly gets it.
When women are supported, it creates a ripple effect on their families and wider society — which is why I partner with organisations such as The Motherhood Group and Black Baby Loss Awareness.
Does This Sound Familiar?
As a woman and a mother, sometimes the weight of it all can feel overwhelming, and it can feel like we’re the only one:
Struggling with anxiety during pregnancy or since having my baby
Feeling stuck, numb or frightened after my traumatic birth
Having intrusive thoughts like "What if I drop my baby?" or "Am I sure I unplugged my hair straightener?"
Getting caught up in mum guilt or mum rage
Constantly doubting myself and my decisions
Feeling like I've lost myself and finding it hard adjusting to motherhood
Struggling to sleep because my mind won't switch off
Worrying about not being good enough
You’re not alone and hand on heart, you’re in the right place.
What Can We Work On Together?
If you’re ready to live a more present and meaningful life, together we can work towards:
Managing anxiety, stress and overwhelm so they no longer run your life
Processing birth trauma so you can feel calmer and more present
Developing practical tools for emotional balance, resilience and everyday life
Building self-compassion and holding experiences more lightly
Reconnecting with who you are - beyond the role of mum
Navigating life transitions and ongoing challenges
Feeling more connected in your relationships
Together we'll navigate the difficult thoughts and feelings that have been holding you back using evidence-based CBT & EMDR at a pace that works for you.
