Here’s What To Expect At Your Consultation Call
I know that the thought of therapy can be daunting and anxiety provoking so here’s a brief outline so you’ll know what to expect.
Before the Call:
You'll receive a confirmation with the date, time, and call details
No pressure—this is just an opportunity to see if we're a good fit
Feel free to jot down any questions you have beforehand
During the Call, We'll:
Briefly introduce ourselves and discuss why you're seeking therapy
Talk about your main concerns or what you're hoping to work on
Explain my therapeutic approach and how it might help you
Discuss practical details like scheduling, session frequency, and fees
Answer any questions you have about the therapy process
Determine together if we seem like a good match
What We Won't Do:
Provide therapy or treatment during this call
Diagnose conditions
Go deeply into your history or current difficulties
After the Call:
No obligation to move forward
If we decide to work together, we'll schedule your first full session
If I'm not the right fit, I'm happy to suggest other resources or referrals
Here are some questions I get asked:
What's your experience with depression/trauma/anxiety?
How long do clients typically work with you?
What does a typical session look like?
Will our sessions be weekly or fortnightly?
How are sessions delivered?
