Here’s What To Expect At Your Consultation Call

I know that the thought of therapy can be daunting and anxiety provoking so here’s a brief outline so you’ll know what to expect.

Before the Call:

  • You'll receive a confirmation with the date, time, and call details

  • No pressure—this is just an opportunity to see if we're a good fit

  • Feel free to jot down any questions you have beforehand

During the Call, We'll:

  • Briefly introduce ourselves and discuss why you're seeking therapy

  • Talk about your main concerns or what you're hoping to work on

  • Explain my therapeutic approach and how it might help you

  • Discuss practical details like scheduling, session frequency, and fees

  • Answer any questions you have about the therapy process

  • Determine together if we seem like a good match

What We Won't Do:

  • Provide therapy or treatment during this call

  • Diagnose conditions

  • Go deeply into your history or current difficulties

After the Call:

  • No obligation to move forward

  • If we decide to work together, we'll schedule your first full session

  • If I'm not the right fit, I'm happy to suggest other resources or referrals

Here are some questions I get asked:

  • What's your experience with depression/trauma/anxiety?

  • How long do clients typically work with you?

  • What does a typical session look like?

  • Will our sessions be weekly or fortnightly?

  • How are sessions delivered?
